There’s a nice write up of the problems facing traditional (in house) software vendors on the Software Advice site. You could say that this article has nothing new, but it summarises the issues nicely and comes to the same conclusion that I have come to – that most traditional software vendors won’t be able to make the transition to SaaS, and will therefore wither away.
If Don Fornes, the author, would also bring out that SaaS systems are often easier to use that the traditional Windows counterparts, I’d give it 10/10!
